Young Talent Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. Please read these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) carefully. By entering this competition (the “Competition”), you will be deemed to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and be bound by them.
2. The promoter of this competition is Studiocanal Limited (the “Promoter”).
3. The Competition is open from 00:01 BST on 2 April 2026 and will close on 23:59 BST on 20 April 2026 (the “Competition Period”).
4. This Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16-25 years old, except for employees of the Promoter, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.
5. Proof of age and eligibility may be requested.
6. To enter the Competition, you must submit an original vocal performance via the entry method specified by the Promoter. This is expected to involve leaving a recorded voicemail performance, however the Promoter reserves the right to amend or substitute the entry method at its discretion.
7. Entries must not contain any content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, content that contains hate speech, promotes violence, or infringes the rights of any third party. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it considers to breach this clause in its sole discretion.
8. There shall be only one (1) entry to the Competition per person is permitted. Late, illegible, defaced, corrupt and incomplete entries will not be accepted.
9. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost entries (including but not limited to any inability to submit entries as a result of operational, computer service, system, or server failures, errors, interruptions, defects, delays or any other technical malfunctions) and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
10. One (1) entrant (the “Winner”) will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter from all valid entries received during the Competition Period and will win the Prize (as defined below).
11. The Winner will receive a music production support package ("the Prize") intended to support emerging musical talent, with an approximate total value of up to £1,000. The prize will include:
- 1 (one) MacBook Neo;
- 40 (forty) free studio hours with Pirate.com; and
- 1 (one) masterclass session with music industry professionals from UMPG and Lex Records.
The exact composition of the Prize is subject to confirmation and the Promoter reserves the right to amend, substitute or withdraw any element of the Prize at its discretion.
12. The Winner will be notified that they have won the Prize by way of email or other contact method provided at entry, within a reasonable period following the expiry of the Competition Period.
13. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted.
14. Upon the Winner being notified by the Promoter that they have won the Prize, the Winner must respond within 72 hours stating their full name and contact details (the “Confirmatory Message”).
15. If the Winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, or if the Winner does not send a Confirmatory Message in accordance with the clause above, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to another entrant selected by the panel from the remaining valid entries received during the Competition Period and declare such entrant to be a new Winner (in which case all such relevant provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall apply to the new Winner).
16. The Prize excludes anything not expressly included in the Prize.
17. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. The Prize is subject to availability, and the Promoter reserves the right to change the Prize at its discretion or to offer an alternative of similar value.
18. The Promoter will arrange for fulfilment of the Prize and shall put any relevant partners in direct contact with the Winner to arrange fulfilment of the Prize.
19. All other costs associated with the Prize (other than the Prize itself) shall be the responsibility of the Winner.
20. The Winner agrees to take part in any publicity reasonably required by the Promoter. By entering the Competition, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, share and make available their Submission (in whole or in part) for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes across any media, including but not limited to social media, digital channels and advertising, without additional compensation.
21. If, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is unable to provide the Prize to the Winner, the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to change, modify, delay or cancel this Competition, in the Promoter’s sole discretion. You agree that in such circumstances no liability shall attach to the Promoter.
23. The Promoter and its associated affiliates and subsidiaries shall have no liability in connection with acceptance, use and enjoyment of the Prize, save that no party limits or excludes its liability for (i) death or personal injury due to its own negligence, (ii) fraud or (iii) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
24. You acknowledge and agree that the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant that breaches any of these Terms and Conditions.
25. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay in performing (or any partial or total failure to perform) any of its obligations to the Winner.
26. You acknowledge and agree that your personal information will only be shared with the Promoter’s Competition partners and agents to the extent reasonably necessary to manage your entry and participation in the Competition or, where required, to a legal or regulatory body.
27. English law applies to these Terms and Conditions and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
